Plaza Almeria condos in Huntington Beach offers centrally located Mediterranean style living with modern amenities. The condos were built in 1999-2000, making them some of the newer options for pristine condo living in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach. They were built on top of the neighboring commercial businesses. So, literally, some of the condos have businesses right below them on the first floor. There are just 42 condo units in this complex.
The community features include a large common area or courtyard on the third floor with an outdoor fireplace, beautiful tile accents, lots of seating and a fountain perfect for entertaining guests and enjoying the sea breezes.
Many units have private balconies or cozy patios perfect for enjoying the ocean breeze. Gated parking is available for owners and their guests with some units having in-unit elevator access from the parking area. Also located in the parking area is a storage unit for each owner. There is a designated spot for secured bicycle storage as well.
Condos in Plaza Almeria include 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and can range in size from roughly 1,810-2,200 square feet. In addition, all condos are two-story. On the first level you’ll find a lavish entertaining area including a formal dining room and spacious kitchen with plenty of cabinet storage. The living area has a cozy fireplace, and also a powder room for guests. On the second floor lie the two huge master bedrooms, each with their own private en-suite bath. One of the master bedrooms includes a walk-in closet and this larger bedroom could easily have room for a sitting area, treadmill or small office space. Condos also include a large interior laundry room with space for a full size side-by-side washer and dryer.
Many of the homes have been upgraded. For example, custom cabinetry, new flooring in the kitchen and baths, crown molding and stainless steel appliances.
Plaza Almeria Condos – Prices
Plaza Almeria condos are currently selling right around the $1,000,000 range. In fact, the latest sale was a 2 bed, 2.5 bath, 2 story with 1,972 square feet. The condo was an end unit with a loft and peek-a-boo view of the ocean. It sold for $1,100,000 after just 12 days on the market.
Plaza Almeria is situated in a mixed commercial and residential building with restaurants, shops and also offices. It is right in the middle of downtown Huntington Beach. It is located on the 300 block of 5th Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.

Plaza Almeria Condos – Pros and Cons
Pros – Some condos have partial ocean views. Convenience for the owner that wants to be close to their business. Walk to everything (beach, shopping, dining, bars)
Cons – Heavily trafficked area. No individual garages. Lots of noise due to the location (people, sirens, traffic, construction, etc.) No yards.
